Tombs of the Blind Dead Review
Chapter 1: Old Roommates
Our cult classic starts at a Lisbon swimming pool where a sun bathing beauty ("Virginia White" - Maria Elena Arpon billed as Helen Harp) happens to notice and calls out to an old acquaintance ("Betty Turner"- Lone Fleming) who is about to take a swim.
There is an on the spot reunion during which small talk is made and we find out that Betty has a business in town (she makes mannequins in a shop close to the local morgue, which Virginia thinks is creepy) and neither she nor Virginia are married. Virginia admits, "There is a guy but it's nothing serious yet."

Shortly after this point the "guy" ("Roger Whelan" - Cesar Burner) emerges from the pool to make his appearance. After a short introduction, Roger insists that Virginia and Betty should celebrate their reunion and promptly invites Betty to accompany he and Virginia on a camping trip they plan to take the next day. At first Betty protests because she has no companion to bring along, but finally relents and says she'll find a friend and tag along.
Throughout the exchange it is clear that Virginia is less than pleased with Roger's invitation and his obvious interest in the other woman. Nevertheless, the friends plan to meet up at the train station at 4 P.M. sharp the next day.
