My Nissan Truck
I inherited my 1991 Nissan truck late in 2002. It had a good engine (which now has many miles on it) but it wasn't in good shape body-wise. It was well on its way to being a total loss because of rust on top of the cab and around the windshield. The windshield itself was broken and in one place it wasn't going to be long before it started leaking. The passenger side door also had a bad dent in it.
As a seminary student, money was tight, so I only invested money in gas, oil, and the basic necessities of keeping the truck running. When I got out of school and was able to make more money, I decided to have some restoration work (or maintenance I guess) done. Soaring gas prices have since convinced me that this truck is a keeper. Anyway...these pages show the results of my efforts to repair/restore this old truck.
So far, I've replace the windshield, had body work done, had a new paint job applied, replaced all four tires, had the air conditioning system replaced, installed new stereo equipment, had new exhaust installed, installed a CB radio and antenna, and last I finally broke down and installed a new onboard toolbox (Tractor Supply).
