Metal Items

Well, "metal items" was as good of a title as I could think of at the time. "Junk" doesn't seem appropriate, even if that's what most folks would call it.

I dug it up accidentally on a job site when I was driving a tracter. A ball bearing? We just call it....(drumroll)....CANNONBALL!

This photo and the next shows the remains of a gumball or candy dispenser found buried in the woods during a bottle hunting foray. At first I thought it was a toy, but it does bear all the marks of a commercial countertop gumball machine of bygone days. The globe was missing and of course it was thoroughly ransacked.

Five cents. Five cents? What an outrageous price! What's the world coming to??

Thank the good Lord for modern technology.
