2. Location: Jane Chandler Gill Memorial, Red River County, Texas, FM 195 at Sam Houston Park
3. Weather: 54 degrees; light, chilly wind; sunny.
4. Arrived at 4:36 PM

Notes: The park is clean and quite nice looking. The cactus at the park is twice the size it was when I first started visiting. It is quiet here except for some noise coming from power lines; houses in the distance.

JANE CHANDLER GILL

who departed this life at Jonesboro
Red River County, Texas
September 20th, 1816.
aged 31 years 8 months
and 20 days

by her affectionate Husband

shall not return to me."
