Sauce Bottle

Once when I was hunting near an old house, the metal detector alerted to something. I ended up digging up nails and this bottle, which for many years went unidentified. It has been tentatively identified as a "sauce bottle" of unknown type; one collector identified it as an early ketchup bottle, probably from about 1900. The bottom is stamped BBC Co 314, and the glass contains bubbles and raised imperfections on the outside. The stain is the result of chemical reaction from being buried in the ground. Value: $1-$2
