Marrow's Mar-O-Oil Shampoo

MAR-O-OIL - The SHAMPOO that's a com - bination of skilfully blended oils.*

Marrow's Mar-O-Oil (J. H. Marrow Mfg. Co., Chicago). A popular brand of shampoo in the 1930s and 40s. This one was a surface find along a fence row in East Texas, probably during the early 1990's. Residue is still in the bottle, which is tightly capped.

* The slogan was found in an online edition of The Monessen Daily Independent dated Wednesday, August 11, 1943 (Monessen, Pennsylvania). The information appeared at www.newspaperarchive.com and I also found references at www.oldandsold.com.
