Malted Milk Powder Bottle

When this jar was discovered 20+ years ago in an old attic, it had a lid in which holes had been punched, as if someone had made a homemade "shaker." There was also a white powdery residue in the bottle. Well, the lid was removed and has since been lost (actually it probably got thrown away) and the white powder, which I felt sure was poison of some sort, was washed away. As it turns out, a fellow identified this bottle as a malted milk powder bottle. He said he had one just like it with the paper label intact and it sold for thirty dollars. Unfortunately, without the label it's just a "conversation piece."
